Construction: Days 2 and 3

On Wednesday and Thursday the fill material, i.e. dirt, from the excavation was compacted and leveled into the support base for the concrete slab.

With a trench digger, we cut out the space where the steel beams will run. These beams will support the heavy weight of the brewhouse and fermentation tanks.

Great thanks to Shane from SunTex for his fantastic work so far building the foundation. Shane built Real Ale’s foundation and obviously did an outstanding job for them. We’re paying a little more and taking a little longer than we otherwise could, but it’s important to us that the foundation be done right by someone with experience building craft breweries.

Michael started installing the plumbing and electrical lines. More on that soon.
