PAWS Shelter and Humane Society Fundraiser; Building Update

May 14, 2010

On Thursday night we had the great pleasure of donating beer to a fundraiser for the PAWS Shelter and Humane Society in Dripping Springs. PAWS is a no-kill shelter and works to find loving homes for abandoned and neglected animals. They are a wonderful organization and worth your support.

Joe and I had a great time meeting people at the event and talking about our beer. We were pouring our bright, floral, citrusy American-style wheat beer Das Wunderkind!, our tasty British specialty malts meets American hops red ale, our roasty, chocolatey, coffee-ish, 12% ABV imperial stout La Danse Macabre, our 8% ABV, 100+ IBU rye Inida Pale Ale and a Belgian-style golden ale oak aged with organic peaches and re-fermented with Brettanomyces.

We had fun talking to the beer geeks in attendance, as well as working to reach out to people who have only had industrial conglomerate rice lager before and introduce them to the world of flavor and creativity presented by craft beer.

We’ve also been working away on the building. The skeleton for the main part of the building is pretty much complete. The siding starts going on next week. We also stained the concrete in our tasting room, which turned out pretty nice. Here are a few pictures and a video:
